Building your brick and mortar business to a year around business is attained by advertising online either via development of a web site or a page ad both being some of the most cost effective ways of building your business.
What are Page Ads? To be quite honest Page Ads are a great way to get your feet wet online and see what that internet can do for your business, there are alot of companies offering page ads but very few offer ads that are indexed by search engines. With one of our offices in Muskingum County we notice a local radio station offering something similar, though what people do not understand is these ads will never get seen out of the local area, advertising for your business needs to be indexed and properly put together to achieve rankings on the search engines. Just because you have a website does not mean you will ever get found, do you actually understand the net?
Most people with a website assume since they have a website they are going to get a flood of business, think again people that is not going to happen. Do not full yourself people will not find you unless your site has been properly optimized for an organic search, most website designers only optimize for your name.
Let me ask you a question, have you done a search on GOOGLE for what you do?
Take the time to do it now, instead of searching for "Joes Place" search for "Family Restaurant Central Ohio", more than likely most potential customers have never heard of Joes Place but they will look for the other, questions?

What is Organic SEO?
Organic SEO is being ranked for what you do in addition to who you are, most website designer only rank you for who you are. With this approach you will more than likely never be found online accept by people who know your business name, what are the chances of that?
Do you want just a nice site or do you want found online?
Most people hire a web designer for a website as they want the online community to see there new site, think again! Unless you hire a web-designer who is also an SEO this will not happen. There is a different from just saying you can get a website ranked and actually being ranked.

GUDesigns.com has had a nice year for the first year, we have done several jobs some much larger than others but one thing is in common all of our customers have been happy. Though this site physically has only been up since April of this year I have been doing work for over 8 years. Where has the time gone? You always hear about how time flies the older you get but until you actually are a little older you really never realize the truth in that fact.

Just thinking about going online?
Has your company or business been playing with the idea of starting an online version of your offline business whether that be construction, retail or sales business, it really does not matter what business you are in Page Ads might be the way for you to start online.

A new website for your business is great but actually being ranked for that website can sometimes take up to a year before it is actually ranked by the search engines where as a Page Ad might only take a couple weeks to a month. The difference lies in the fact that a website is on your new server and will take time to be found and actually ranked.
Page Ads on the other hand are on our already ranked site, since we are already ranked for thousands of keywords your page ad will obtain ranking very quickly so if you are wanting quick exposure than this is the way to go.
Understanding the Internet - Getting Noticed!

I was reading the Akron Beacon Journal a few days ago online and came across an article where someone was writing asking how he could get his website noticed online as he had spent a bundle of money on radio, television, and newspaper advertising to no avail. He stated in the article that he was attempting to start an online advertising business.
The ad stated in prior articles which I have written getting noticed online is not as simple as putting up a website and advertising in regular media to get noticed; actually using regular media if you are not wealthy is a waste of time. Online businesses wishing to get notice need to advertise online, understand also that in online advertising you are competing with the other media in getting your presence noticed. For the inexperienced business man this could be a very expensive venture and to be quite honest even the experienced professionals will fail in most cases.
